Dressed in traditional South Asian garb, the desis in Vancouver's pride parade made quite a sight as they partied on the beautifully decorated float this weekend. Sher Vancouver, Trikone Vancouver, Trikone Northwest from Seattle, and Namaste Vancouver collaborated together to create the stunning theme- Pride of Bollywood.

I love the colorful float. When queers try too hard to be boring it is really sad.
It's great to see that at least one South Asian queer group has been able to accomplish something big in a pride parade. We have much to do for next year's pride here in NYC!
